“Three Wooden Crosses” – Randy Travis

Three Wooden Crosses by Randy Travis could very well be the theme song for Nanabread and for our sponsor, Salt and Light Foundation! The first and every time I hear this song it brings tears to my eyes and reminds me of the responsibility we as parents, grandparents, teachers, aunts, uncles and you name it have to the next generation. As believers we know this life is transitory and that one day we will be in the presence of our Lord, however what will we have left behind? We might have left behind great wealth, good times, strong families and a legacy of education which are all good in themselves, but have we left behind for those we love the “key to the abundant life on this earth and shared the pathway to the next life”? If not, we truly need to rethink our priorities no matter our stage in life. When Moses was teaching the children of Israel about their God and His laws, he said in Deuteronomy 6:7-8You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house; when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as a frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” If you are a Child of God saved by His Grace, tell those you love the HOW AND THE WHY and SHOW THEM THE WAY! You can leave nothing better behind, no greater legacy!
