Gifts are toys, clothes, electronics, books and other stuff we receive on special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas, but they are also talents and skills God has given you!  We often say someone who is an outstanding baseball player is a “gifted athlete” or a talented pianist has an “ear” for music. 

 As Christians, we believe ALL gifts and talents are from God as James 1:17 says “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights…”.

We also know everyone does not receive the same gifts or at the same level, but God has gifted all of his children and sometimes we have to look for and ask God to help us identify our gifts.  However, whatever your gifts are, scripture tells us all should be used to glorify God! Matthew 5: 14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.  

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
