“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill
Unfortunately we seem to be living in a world where “what’s in it for me” is our first thought when making decisions. As young people choose careers and decide what they want to do for a lifetime, so often the focus is how much money will I make or what kind of lifestyle will it mean for me. It all seems to be about ME! Rarely considered is the potential within the career to give back! This tendency is not only apparent in career choices but in decisions such as what church someone decides to affiliate with; do they have a gymnasium, is their building nice and do the church times work well with my lifestyle! However, we know that true blessing comes not from what we get out of something or what is in it for us, but what from what we put into something. In Acts 20:35 Paul reminds us of that truth with the words of Christ!
